Model Class at Peoria Speedway because he had raced motorcycles and
wanted to switch to cars. His first win was in 1982 in the Late Model
Class at East Moline Speedway. Career highlights include 1989 Nascar
Central Region Champion, 1990 Nascar Central Region Champion, 1991
Nascar Central Region Champion, 1995 Nascar Central Region Champion,
1999 Nascar Busch All Star Tour Champion, 2007 Modified East Bay Winter
Nationals Champion and many Illinois State Championships.
The thrill of racing for Ray is victory
lane. His most exciting moment was winning the 1995 Nascar Championship
as owner and driver. He is most proud of his parents helping him get
going an always being so very supportive.
