Daron Clayton drives the #92 Sprint Class car.  His home track is Auto Tire & Parts Race Park.  He lives in Sikeston, MO.

Team members helping Daron are:  Dad, Steve (friend) and Bubby Jones.  Gene Clayton (Dad) is the car owner.

Daron started racing in 2001 in the 410cc Sprint Class at Benton, Mo because of Go Karts.  His Dad and he went to the 4 wheeler track and they had Go Karts!  Daron has been racing 14 years.  His first win was in 2001 in the 410cc Sprint.  Career highlights include 2002 Rookie of the Year, NCRA 3rd in Points at Tri State Speedway last race of year MSCS!  Won 2 years in a row.

The thrill of racing for Daron is his love of competition.  You earn what you get.  It's a lot of hard work but it's worth it.  What he wants to do in life is race cars for a living.  He is very fortunate to be able to do it.  His most exciting racing moment was his first trip to Eldora and Terra Haute Speedway.  He's most proud of that he understands his car as he knows every nut and bolt of his race car and feels that helps him understand his car.

Daron's racing hero is Bubby Jones.

Of racing, Daron says, "People are missing out if they don't go down in the pits and talk to the drivers.  Some guys leave but some guys stay and talk!".
