Wayne Johnson drives the #17 Super Late Model car. He lives in Hancock, MD. His home track is Rock  Allegheny County Speedway, but he can also be found racing  at Hagerstown and Winchester Speedways.

He began  racing in 1976 in Challenger Class at Lincoln Speedway because he was a Motorhead and  a family hobby. His first win was in 1981 in Street Stock Class at Hagerstown Speedway. Career highlights include, 1981 Track Champion, Hagerstown (PS), 1983/1984 Track Champion, Winchester (PS), 2000 Rock Allegheny and Bedford Speedway Championship (Super Late Model). He also had 60 Feature wins total.

The thrill of racing for Wayne is staying around as long as he can. His most exciting racing moments were in 1995-Series win at Bedford, Rock and Winchester. He is most proud of the length of his career.
