Rodney Melvin late model #27R from Logan, IL . His home track is Mt. Vernon but you can also catch him at Godfrey, Danville and Paducah and all over the mid west.

Rodney began racing in 1993, following in his father's footsteps. His first win came at Windy Hollow, KY. Rodney's racing hero is his father, Robert Melvin

Rodney was the 2001 late model track champ at Godfrey and Mt. Vernon. His late model is a Rayburn chassis powered by a Chevy race engine.

Rodney's greatest racing accomplishment is his first feature win. His biggest racing thrill is "just driving a race car"!
