"The Sadorus Rocket"

#34

Steve Hillard late model #34is from Sadorus,  IL.  Steve started his racing career in 1983 in the street stock class. Steve’s first win came in his rookie year at Danville. Steve started his racing career because his Dad, Alex had raced and won so much he just had to try it!  **

Steve’s racing then took him to the modified division where he became the dominator, winning the Fairbury, Farmer City, and Danville championships en-route to the U.M.P. NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in 1997.

In 1998 Steve moved to the late model division. His greatest racin accomplishment was the 1997 season. Steve’s biggest thrill is being the only Illinois driver to make The Million at Eldora. He won his heat race by a straightaway!

Tony Stewart is Steve’s racing hero.  Steve’s Masterbilt late model is powered by a Hixson 415. Steve’s leading the NORTHERN ALL STARS LATE MODEL SERIES points and his goal is to once again be the National Champion!!!!

Steve would like to thank his dad Alex, Roy, A.J., Bill and his wife Tina.

Steve says ‘I LOVE RACING, WISH I COULD DO IT FOR A LIVING.’
