Doug Horton

Doug Horton drives the #46 Super Late
Model Class car. His home track is Latrobe Speedway but he an also
be found racing at Roaring Knob Motorsports, Marion Center Speedway and
Dog Hollow Speedway. He lives in Bruceton Mills, WV.
Team members helping Doug are:
Jeff Dillwger, Edie Livingston, Davey Yowler, Tim Winans and Doug's
wife. Bobby Lake is the car owner.
Doug started racing in 1985 in the
Street Stock Class at Motordrome, PA because he's been around racing all
his life. Dad was a flag man, so Doug grew up under the
grandstands.
His first win was in 1988 in the Limited
Late Model at I-79 Wisc. Career highlights include Making
races at East Bay, Hillbilly 50 in Tyler, WV, 5 Features Late Model wins
in a row.
The thrill of racing for Doug is being
competitive and the competition! His most exciting racing moment
was winning Topless 50. Doug beat a guy on the last lap. The
guy he beat is now Doug's car owner!! He's most proud of being
recognized as a clean racer. He wants to be respected as a clean
racer.
Doug's racing heroes are Mike Cole and
L.J. Dennis.
Of racing, Doug says, "It takes a lot of
money. It can bring a lot of people together. If you have
the money do it . Get your kids involved in racing. You will
know where they are every Saturday night!".
