Johnny Collins

Johnny Collins drives the #5 Super Late Model Class car.  He lives in Jacksonville, FL.  His home track is Volusia Speedway.

He started racing in 1978 in the Go Karts Class because of his Daddy who raced when Johnny was small and they carried it to race cars.  His first win was in 1995 in the Open Wheel Modified Class at St. Augustine.  Career highlights include 1997 St. Augustine Late Model Track Champion and 2003 National Late Model Champion.

The thrill of racing for Johnny is going fast and meeting people.  His most exciting racing moment was winning his first race and the National Late Model Series Championship.  He's most proud of that fact that they race as a family.

Johnny's racing heroes are Buddy Geiger and Bill Elliott.
