Scott James drives the #83 Late Model Class car.  He favorite track is Brownstown Speedway.  He lives in Bright, IN.

Scott started racing in 1996 in the Late Model Class at Florence Speedway because his Dad raced and Scott had been around it as a kid.  His first win was in 1997 in the Late Model Class at Lake Cumberland Speedway.  Career highlights include 2003 Ralph Latham Memorial win at Florence Speedway, 2005 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Rookie of the Year, 2005 finished 5th in Points in Lucas Oil Late Model , 2005 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series winner at the Farley Speedway $10,000 ESPN2 Race!  Scott made the Dream 100 at Eldora Speedway in 2001, 2003 and 2005 and the World 100 at Eldora Speedway in 2002 and 2004.

The thrill of racing for Scott is the Competition and the Passion.  His most exciting racing moments are making his first World 100,  winning the Ralph Latham Memorial at Florence KY, and running second in the 2006 Dream.

 He's most proud of being able to race with his family.

Scott's racing hero is his Dad, Bubby James.

Of racing, Scott says, "It's a professional sport!  It's not the red neck sport that people used to think it was! Its a Family oriented sport".
