Clint Smith drives the #44 Late Model Class car.  His home track is Dixie Speedway.

He started racing in 1980 in the Cadette Class at Dixie Speedway as a 2nd generation driver.  His first win was in 1981 in the Limited Class at Senoia Speedway in GA.  Career highlights include 4 time Southern All Star Champion, 1993 Hava-A-Tampa Champion, Hillbily 100, Stick Elliot 100, Blue Grey 100 and 10 WoO wins. 

The thrill of racing for Clint is making a living doing the thing he wants to do.  His most exciting racing moment was (any win in good)....Winning the Hava-A-Tampa in 1996 and 1997 at his home track of Dixie Speedway, the Blue Grey 100 at Gaffney, winning the Hillbilly 100 and the Battle of Blue Grass at Crossville where he made a pass with two laps to go to win.  He's most proud of not having any enemies, being a clean driver, having good sponsors and good family.

Clint's racing hero is Rosco Smith.
