THE NeSMITH CHEVROLET DLMS ANNOUNCES THE 20-RACE 2012 TOURING SCHEDULE

                CARTERSVILLE, GA – The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series has announced its 2012 Touring Schedule featuring 20 events at ten tracks in six states.  East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL will bookend the schedule with the first three races in February and the season finale in December for the series’ eighth season.

 

                In between, there are three new venues the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Tour will visit for the first time, and two tracks the Touring Series will revisit after a year’s absence.  There is one $10,000-to-win race, two $5,000-to-win races, two $3,000-to-win races, five $2,500-to-win races, and ten $2,000-to-win races. 

 

The 20 events will be contested during 11 different weekends from February through December with multiple races on seven of those weekends, and four single race weekends.  The 2012 season opens with triple-header at East Bay Raceway Park on February 2 and February 3 with separate 40-lap $2,000-to-win shows, and a 50-lap $3,000-to-win race on February 4.

 

East Bay Raceway Park will also be the site for the 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Tour season finale with the 100-lap $10,000-to-win 8^th Annual GM Performance Parts World Championship Race on December 6-8.

 

Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS will also host four NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring events in 2012, with the first event being a 75-lap $5,000-to-win two-day show on April 6-7.  The series will return to Greenville Speedway on October 5 with a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race and on October 6 with a 50-lap $2,500-to-win show.

 

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Tour will also be a part of the 6^th Annual Gumbo Nationals at Greenville Speedway on November 2-3 with a two-day 75-lap $3,000-to-win race.

 

Albany Motor Speedway in Albany, GA, Malden Speedway in Malden, MO, and Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, TN will host the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Tour for the first time in 2012.

 

Albany Motor Speedway will present a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on April 20, and a 50-lap $2,500-to-win event on April 21.  Malden Speedway will have a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on May 4, and the series will travel to Clayhill Motorsports the next night for a 50-lap $2,500-to-win race on May 5.

 

The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Tour will return to Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, MS to open a three-race Memorial Day Weekend Triple-Header with a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on May 25 that will be followed by 40-lap $2,000-to-win races at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS on May 26 and at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS on May 26.

 

Whynot Motorsports Park and Magnolia Motor Speedway will also team up once again for their traditional NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS Labor Day Weekend events.  It will be the 7^th Annual $5,000-to-win Coca-Cola Zero 75 two-day show on August 31 and September 1 at Whynot Motorsports Park and a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on September 2 at The Mag.

 

Another track returning to the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Touring schedule for 2012 will be 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN, who will present a 50-lap $2,500-to-win race on June 2.

 

Penton Raceway in Penton, AL will host two complete shows for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Tour over the July 4^th Holiday Weekend with a 40-lap $2,000-to-win race on July 6, and a 50-lap $2,500-to-win event on July 7.

 

NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series officials are still negotiating with several other tracks to host Touring Series events in 2012, and could add at least four more events to the schedule of events.
