He began racing in 1984 in a Late Model at Cherokee Speedway because he is the 3rd generation racing.  His first win was at Cherokee in 1985 in the Late Models.

Jeff's greatest racing thrill is winning. He's most proud of finishing 2nd to his dad and 1st in his Grandfathers memorial race.  His greatest racing accomplishment, winning the $10,000 to win at Cherokee speedway.

Freddie Smith and his dad are his favorite drivers.

Of racing, Jeff says, "Too much to pick from......In the racing we do, it's like a tight nit family.  You might have spats but when it's all said and done, you are still friends!".
