Sheldon Barksdale drives the #20s ASCS Sprint Class car.  His home track is State Fair Speedway but he can also be found racing at Lawton Speedway and Creek County Speedway.  He lives in Norman, OK.

Team members helping Sheldon are:  Dad, Delbert, Danny, Brandy, Jenny.  Rick Barksdale is the car owner.

Sheldon started racing in 2007 in the Super Sprint Class at State Fair Speedway because he had been raised at the track since he was 4 days old.  His Dad has raced his entire life.  Sheldon's first win was in that same year.  Career highlights include when he won his first A Feature in his first year in a big Sprint car. 

The thrill of racing for Sheldon is the speed and going out on weekends trying to get wins.  His most exciting racing moment was winning A Features at State Fair Speedway weekly.  3 wins total at that race track.  He's most proud of having top 10's with ASCS with an OKC Spec. Motor and getting the opportunity to race in general.

Sheldon's racing hero is his Dad.

Of racing, Sheldon says, "If you haven't got the chance to attend a Sprint car race, do it cuz you'll get addicted to it after one night!".
