Koby Barksdale drives the #22 ASCS Sprint Class car.  His home track is State Fair Speedway but he can also be found racing at Devils Bowl Speedway (ASCS).  He lives in Norman, OK.

Team members helping Koby are:  Dad, Uncle Rick, Brent Swift.  Kevin Barksdale is the car owner.

Koby started racing in 1998 in the Motorcross Class at Motorcycle Raceway because he comes from a racing family, mostly his Dad.  In 1999 he moved to Mini Sprints and in '04 he moved to 360 Sprints.  His first win was in 2003 in the Micro Sprint Class at I-44 Speedway.  Career highlights include '03 Rookie of the Year in A Class, A-Class Track Champion at Faxon Speedway, Runner Up Non-Wing at Faxon Speedway, 12 Micro A wins, 2 - 360 A wins.

The thrill of racing for Koby is the speed, the adrenaline rush, competition between drivers, everything!  His most exciting racing moment was his first 360 Sprint A-Main win where he lead the entire race and the car was running like crap!  He's most proud of his Rookie Year in the A-Class non restricted Mini Sprint when he won the Track Championship and finished 2nd in the Points the same year in non-wing.

Koby's racing heroes are his Dad and Dale Earnhardt.
