Gary started racing in 1998 in the
Quarter Midget class at Washington Quarter Midget Track because Dad was
a fan and took Gary. Gary became a racing junkie. At the age
of 6, Gary's Dad got him a Quarter Midget car and he hasn't stopped
racing since. Career highlights include '05 ASCS Rock Mountain
Champion in Sprints, '93 won National Championship in Quarter Midgets.
The thrill of racing for Gary is
everything about it....speed, competition, the technical aspect.
There are a lot of different qualities. It's more than just going
in circles. His most exciting racing moment was his first win in a
Sprint, every time you win with someone new, running 2nd in a Midget at
4 Crown. The sport has every emotion. He's most proud of the
fact that he has turned it into a living. It took 10 years and he
has accomplish it without a big business, but rather with talent.
Gary's racing heroes are Steve Kinser
and Tony Stewart.
Of racing, Gary says, "It's the funnest,
most exciting hobby you can have. It consumes you!".
