Austen Wheatley drives the #44W ASCS sprint car
from Lake Stevens, WA. The Wolf Weld car is owned by Shannon
Wheatley.
Austen started racing in 2001 in the Jr.
Sprint division at Deming Speedway in Bellingham, WA. He captured
his first win there in '02.
Austen started racing just for the fun of it, but
now hopes to make a career of racing.
The thrill of racing for Austen is how fast
everything happens and that requires an instant reaction time.
With 23 sprint car feature wins, Austen's most
exciting moment came by leading the feature at Cottage Grove in
Oregon.
Austen is proud to be able to compete in the ASCS
national series.
His racing hero is Doug Wolfgang.
Of racing, Austen says: "Dirt sprint car racing is
the most fun of all sports out there!"
