Andrew Marshala drives the #87A ASCS
Sprint Class car. His home track is State Fair Speedway and the
ASCS Circuit. He lives in Shawnee, OK.
Team members helping Andrew are:
Dad - Dennis Marshala, Kent King - Rig Driver, Jerry Bender - Crew
Chief. Oilfield Equipment & Mfg is the car owner.
Andrew started racing in 2008 in the
Champ Spring Class car at State Fair Speedway because it has always been
a dream, had some extra money, kind of got thrown into it, but he loves
it! His first win was in '09 in the Champ Sprint Class at Brill
Motor Speedway (Heat race). Career highlights include 8/28/09
finishing 2nd in Heat race, first A Feature ASCS start at Kennedale
Speedway Park, first full year in motorsports.
The thrill of racing for Andrew is the
car is always on the edge of destruction, makes you go faster. His
most exciting racing moment was finishing 2nd in Meeker A Feature,
rolled several times on his way to 1st, car in front of him spun out,
Andrew landed on the car behind him. He's most proud that as many
times as he's wrecked, he never gets discouraged and the car/s are
always ready for next week.
Andrew's racing hero is Mark Martin, in
good times and bad.
Of racing, Andrew says, "It's the most
exciting thing you'll ever experience. I recommend everybody try
it at least once!".
