Brett Samonds drives the #47 Sprint Class car.  His home track is Jacksonville Speedway but he can also be found racing at MOWA tracks.  He lives in Springfield, IL.

Team members helping Brett are:  Mike Samonds, Cliff Spencer.  Samonds Racing is the car owner.

Brett started racing in 1992 in the Quarter Midgets class at Springfield, IL because it was something he and his Dad loved watching and wanted to do.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include over 200 Quarter Midget wins, 125cc Micro 3 Feature wins and numerous Heat wins, 11th in National Points, 600 cc Micros 3 Feature wins and numerous Heat wins, Sprint car numerous Heat race wins and Top 5 and Top 10 Feature finishes.

The thrill of racing for Brett is the competition.  His most exciting racing moment was winning at Jacksonville Speedway, his home track.  He's most proud of being able to race for almost 20 years.  It was their goal when they started to get to Sprint cars.

Brett's racing hero is Tony Stewart.
