Griffin Wins Enduro Race At Antioch

Morganton, N. C. [02-23-2008] Barry Griffin, No. 15, from
Pickens, S. C. took home the $1000.00 first prize by leading the entire
100 lap Snow Ball Express Pure Stock Four Enduro event Saturday at
Antioch Speedway. Tim Moretz, No. 11M, overcame a late race right rear
flat tire to finish second. Duke Bare, No. 10, overcame a late race spin
to finish third. Andy Jolley, No. 25, finished fourth. Greg Carroll,
No.11C, overcame three flat tires to finish fifth.
Freddie Frady, No. 01, led flag to flag and held off a hard
charging Joey Barker, No.16, to win the Super Stock V-8 event. Barker
overcame a midrace spin and pressured Frady the last few laps to finish
second. Randy Young, No. 21, finished third. Dennis Byrd, No.07, made
several pit stops and held on to finish fourth. Daimon Patton, No. 2,
finished fifth.
Duke Bare, No. 52B, inherited the win after John McElrath, No.
63, refused to tear down at post race inspection in the Renegade V-8
race. Chris Stowe, No. 52S, finished second. Bobby Monrow, No. 19,
finished third. Jeff Parsons, No. 20, finished fourth. Darrell Pack, No.
7, finished fifth.
Richard Vasser, No. 8, made it look easy taking home the victory
in the Super Stock Four event. Chris Allison, No. 17, passed Steve
Annas, No.7A, midway of the event to finish second. Annas finished
third. Keith Hart, No. 81, finished fourth. Matthew Mintz, No. B1,
rounded out the top five.
J W Hicks, No. 15, had no problem taking home the victory in the
Young Guns race. Josh Anthony, No. 2, finished second. Joseph Hodges,
No. 4, finished third.
