2. The 2008 ASA Late Model Series Southern Division Season Opener is fast approaching as the Bronson Motor Speedway awaits.

Lexington, Michigan (02/29/2008): The ASA Late Model Series Southern Division Presented by GM Performance Parts has had a familiar theme in the first two seasons of competition. The Season Opener has been held at the Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway, located West of Gainesville in Bronson, Florida.

ASALMS Co-Founder / President, Ron Varney saw no need to change what has become a tradition within the ASALMS Southern Division ranks. So for the 2008 season, the cars and stars of the ASALMS Southern Division will once again draw open the curtain on the upcoming campaign at the fast 0.375 Mile High-Banked Paved Oval.

On Friday and Saturday, March 28-29, 2008 the ASALMS Southern Division will conduct their season opener, the Bronson 100 at the Bronson, Florida speed plant! Joining the ASALMS Southern Division will be the Bronson Weekly divisions of Sportsmen, Super Stocks, Thunder Stocks, and Hornets.

The Bronson 100 Entry Form will be available beginning on Wednesday, March 12, 2008. The traditionally warm weather in March and exciting racing action at the Mike Cope owned facility made the decision to return to the track for the South opener a no-brainer for Varney;

"We have been treated so well by Mike Cope, Tommy Dunford and the entire staff the first two seasons, it only makes sense that the 2008 ASALMS Southern Division Season Opener will be held once again at Bronson Motor Speedway!" ASALMS Co-Founder / President, Ron Varney said.

3. 2007 ASA Late Model Series Northern Division Champion, Trent Snyder teams up with Mesa, Arizona's Scott Rueschenberg to defend his title in 2008.

Ironton, Minnesota (02/29/2008): When 2007 ASA Late Model Series Northern Division Champion, Trent Snyder officially clinched his title during the 38th Annual Oktoberfest Weekend at the LaCrosse (WI) Fairgrounds Speedway, the first thought that went through the now 24-year-olds' head was; "How am I going to defend this title?"

His question was answered over the winter at the Performance Racing Industry (P.R.I.) Trade Show in Orlando, Florida and a chance meeting with Mesa, Arizona businessman, Scott Rueschenberg, who also just happened to be a huge race fan and driver himself!

As a result of that meeting and subsequent dinner, a deal was struck and now Snyder is back to defend his title and in the process gained a teammate and valuable resources that the team was lacking in his championship winning season in 2007!

For the 2008 racing season, defending ASALMS Northern Division Champion, Trent Snyder is back to defend his title while his new teammate, Scott Rueschenberg will race in the first two ASALMS Northern Division races of 2008 and depending on how those two events go, may make a run for the 2008 Rookie of the Year title!

Both Snyder and Rueschenberg will also make select appearances in the ASALMS Challenge Division as well! In an effort to get some track time before the 2008 season gets started in the ASALMS, both Snyder and Rueschenberg participated at Rueschenberg's home track of the Tucson (AZ) Raceway Park on February 23, 2008 during their 2008 season opener.
