Caraway Speedway To Host Open Practice This
Saturday In Preparation For Season Opener on March 15th
March 6, 2008 – Asheboro, NC Caraway Speedway
will host open practice this Saturday in preparation for the Season Opener
on March 15th. Open practice will be from 12 (Noon) until 5pm.
Several teams will take advantage of this open test to fine tune their
racing machines.
Several Late Model Stock teams have already been testing and tuning for
the big season opener. Randy Benson of Rockingham, Tommy Lemons Jr of Troy,
Robert Tyler of High Point, Rookie Ryan Wilson of Randleman, Rookie Jason
Boaze of Greensboro, BJ Mackey of Rock Hill, SC and Ryan Robertson of
Winston Salem have all had private test sessions. Brad Brinkley of Sanford
will be driving Lucas Ransone of Madison’s second car.
Brinkley will climb into the Ransone Racing machine for the first time today
in a private test session. Brinkley has ordered a new Marlowe Racing
Chassis Late Model but unfortunately will not be ready until sometime late
March. He will be competing for his second track championship title at the
speedway, securing a ride with Ransone racing has enabled him to do so.
The Season will officially get under way on Saturday March 15th
featuring a 100 lap NASCAR Late Model Stock event. Also on hand will be the
Limited Late Models, Mini Stocks, Custom Steel Fabricators Super Mini Trucks
and U-Cars. Grandstands will open at 5pm and the race will begin at 8pm.
