Darlington Raceway, the Lady in Black, opened her doors and track to ALL drivers Saturday, and the drivers contributed over $14,000 to the Katrina Relief fund.

People from as far away as IN and Fl came to take laps around the Famous Racetrack at Darlington, and help raise money for the victims of Katrina.

We have 43 photos on our site. Click on the Green “Lets go racing Spl. Events” button on the front page.

The track was supposed to open at 12 Noon but lines began forming at 9am and they opened early. Drivers got 5 laps around the track for a donation to the Red Cross relief fund.

Cathy Elliott, Darlington’s director or PR said  “We Hope we raise buckets of money.”
