Mike Gill

Mike Gill drives the #02 Modified Class car.  He lives in LaPorte City, IA.  His home track is Independence Motor Speedway.

He started racing in 1997 in the Modified Class at Independence Motor Speedway, to fill his time.  His first win was that same year.  He finished the 2003 season 4th in the Mid Season Points, and finished every race he started all year on the lead lap.

The thrill of racing for Mike is the speed and racing close to someone.  His most exciting racing moment was all the Heat wins and B Feature wins plus finishing 6th in the Points for the 2003 season.  He's most proud of doing all his own motors and work on the car himself.

Richard Petty is Mike's racing hero.

Of racing, Mike says, "It is not cheap!".
