Ken Rogers

Ken Rogers drives the #71x IMCA Modified Class car.  He lives in West Monroe, NY.  His home track is Brewerton Speedway but he can also be found racing at Skyline Raceway.

He started racing in 1961 in the Street Stock Class at Brewerton Speedway after a neighbor took him to the races, as a kid.  His first win was in 1965 in the Late Model Class at Brewerton Speedway.

The thrill of racing for Ken is that it is a game of minds as well as talent.  His most exciting racing moment is all the time.......good and bad.  He's most proud that he's always built his own car on a budget and has still been able to compete in the top ten most of the time.

Of racing, Ken says, "Most people think it's a rich man's sport but if you can learn to build and have the drive, this is the most exciting sport there is to participate in!'.
