Jesse Robinson

Jesse Robinson drives the #75J Modified Class car.  He lives in Elk City, NE.  His home track is Eagle Raceway but he can also be found racing at Rising City  or Butler County Speedway.

He started racing in 1983 in the Street Stock Class at Sunset Speedway because he thought it would help him get fewer speeding tickets on the highway (didn't help though).  He's always loved racing and working on cars.  His first win was in 1983 in the Street Stock Class at Corning, IA, but was DQ for being 5 lbs. to light.  Jesse raced from 1983 through 1986 in the Street Stock class running a 1973 Firebird.  He got back into racing 2 years ago when a friend talked him into buying one of his Modifieds.  Jesse has been having fun ever since.

The thrill of racing for Jesse is the friendships he's had with other race drivers and families.  His most exciting racing moment was when he almost rolled his car at Sunset Speedway on hot laps when the axle broke in turn 1&2.  Missed his Heat race and had to start 2nd to last in D Feature.  He won the D and then the C.  Then he won the B Features and ran 4th in the A Feature at Sunset Speedway in 1984.

Richard Petty and Jr. Johnson are Jesse's racing heroes.

Of racing, Jesse says, "You only live once and life is to short so do what you love to do!".
