Elmer Morgan
#8
Elmer Morgan drives the #8 Sprint Class
car. He lives in Farmers Branch, TX. His home track is Abilene
Speedway but he can also be found racing at Heart O' Texas and 281
Speedway.
He started racing in 1968 in Motorcycles,
1991 in Mini Stocks and 1998 in Sprint Class at North Texas Motor Speedway
because he's an adrenaline junkie and has always been competitive.
His first win was in 1998 in Sprints. In 2001 Elmer was the National
Champion and in 2002 the IMCA National Champion.
The thrill of racing for Elmer is enjoying
the competition. His most exciting racing moment was when he clipped
a guys right rear, went 50 feet in the air, then flipped another 30 feet
at North Texas Motor Speedway. He's most proud of his championships.
Tony Stewart is Elmer's racing hero.
Of racing, Elmer says, "Good clean family
sport that everyone can enjoy!".
