Raymond Rogers Sr. drives the #48 Open Wheel Modified Class car.  His home track is East Bay Raceway Park but he also races all over Florida.  He lives in Tampa, FL.

Team members helping Raymond are:  Bo Hammond-Crew Chief, Jerry Rogers, Justin Meeks, Randy Thomas, Dallas Conner, Mike, Dennis, Kyle - Tire men helpers, Wayne Hammond - Spotter.  Wayne Hammond is the car owner.

Raymond started racing in 1999 in the Street Stock Class at East Bay Raceway Park because his family has been racing since the 1940's.  His first win was in 1997 in the Pure Stock Class at Desoto Speedway.  Career highlights include first year in Open Wheels won Championship, Rookie of the Year, 8 Feature wins, 14 Heat race wins, won 2nd night at East Bay Raceway Park Winter Nationals, set 3rd Fast Time, won all 3 Heats in Nationals, led all three Features of Nationals before some bad luck.  In 1999 won 13 Features, 16 Heats out of a total of 17 races that he raced.

The thrill of racing for Raymond is the rush....he likes speed!     His most exciting racing moment was winning the Points this year ('06) in Open Wheels.  He's most proud of learning to be humble, race everybody clean, no matter what!

Raymond's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.

Of racing, Raymond says, "It's a family sport.  Have fun, life is short.  Be all you can be!  I love it!  It's been in my family for 60 years!".
