Kurt Allison drives the #48x UMP Modified Class car.  His home track is Shadyhill Speedway but he can also be found racing at Kankakee Speedway and Bunker Hill Speedway.  He lives in Valparaiso, IN.

Team members helping Kurt are:  Grandpa Allison, Jeff Barger, Bob Barger, Mike Hollifield.  Bruce Allison is the car owner.

Kurt started racing in 1998 in the Go Kart Class at Southbend Raceway Park because it was a hobby and something to do with his Dad on weekends.  His first win was in 1999 in the Go Karts Class at Southbend Raceway Park.  Career highlights include Southbend Raceway Park 2 time Track Champion in Go Karts, Michiana Karters Club 2002 Driver of the Year in Go Karts, Great Lake Sprint Series 2003 Regional Championship in Go Karts, Independent Modified Association 2004 Rookie of the Year, Independent Modified Association Top 5 in Season Points in '05 and '06.

The thrill of racing for Kurt is the competitiveness.  His most exciting racing moment was coming from last and finishing first in the 2-Cycle Yamaha Go Kart Race at the Southbend Regional Airport.
