Meet Adam Fenwick

A racing fan since his early childhood, Adam Fenwick, who was born across the street from New Jersey’s Flemington Speedway, was three years old when he attended his first race. He grew up watching NASCAR events at his families home in Sunny View, N.C., and decided early on that he wanted to be involved in the motor sports industry in some fashion.

“I like to joke that I became a motor sports journalist because I didn’t have the patience to be a mechanic and I didn’t have the money to become a race car driver,” Fenwick said. “I love racing. I’ve been a race fan for as long as I can remember and working as a motor sports journalist is about the most fun I can possibly imagine having.”

Fenwick, who has a degree in Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, comes to from National Speed Sport News, where he worked for two years as the Editorial Assistant. In that position he had many responsibilities, including but not limited to managing the company website, covering races, taking photos, designing pages and managing the company Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Before joining National Speed Sport News, Fenwick worked as a copy editor at Freedom Communications in Shelby, N.C., and Gastonia, N.C., where he designed and proofed news pages on a daily basis.
