DIRT MOTORSPORTS WORKING WITH MOTORSPORTS PERFORMANCE HEALTH CONCEPTS TO PROMOTE DRIVE SAFETY

WEEDSPORT, NY- In an effort to improve driver safety and overall health, DIRT Motor sports, Inc. & Motorsports Performance Health Concepts, Inc. (MPH) have joined forces in an effort to educate racing competitors and crews on prevention, treatment, And rehabilitation of injuries as well as assistance in the area of motor-sports safety education, personal health & wellness consultation for all motor-sports participants. The safety enhancement program and partnership is in its second year and seeing increased awareness and results.

 

The program is absolutely free of charge for the competitors to use anytime & requires no appointment The MPH trailer is usually positioned in the pits so drivers and pit crew who may need assistance at anytime during a race can get some help quickly. MPH is there to help with Back and neck pain, racing accident injuries, burns, cuts, pits side injuries and are available to give advice on in-car padding & braces, health and wellness questions and offer additional information on seating configurations or even fitting drivers with the HANS device to protect against neck injuries.

 

Eric Quinn, Director & Head Athletic Trainer for MPH, brings a tremendous background in safety and prevention to the DIRT Motorsports safety enhancement program that has come from working with the likes of Tony Stewart, Rick Mast, Mark Martin, Bob Hubbard, inventor of the HANS Device and a host of others in his career working with the motorsports community.

 

 ďA 35 mph impact, can be a deadly impact, when you stop to consider the Earnhardt impact had a change in velocity of 43 mph impact, Delta V 43 mph. These guys are going a heck of a lot faster than that.Ē  Quinn said, accentuating the importance of preventative safety measures that can help to promote safety on any racing surface in any classification of racecar.
