Meet
Larrie
Hi
everybody and welcome to my page in LuvRacin.com I hope you have a
great 2009. First some facts.
We lived
most of our life in Wisconsin with the last 20 years in Charlotte,
North Carolina. I have had a long time love affair with racing,
starting back in the late 1940’s! Raced open wheel modifieds, crewed
on ARCA stock car team, tech inspection for Sports Car Club of
America, assistant crew chief on an Indy Car. We’ve been to well
over 200 race tracks from Oregon to New York. California to Florida.
Now I’m
retired (66 years old) and living on social security… in other words
all the time in the world to do things, and no money to do it with.
So now I travel from track to track, taking pictures with my $300
camera, for your enjoyment. I am usually allowed in on a media pass
which means that I will help them publicize their events by showing
you what a fine facility they have. I am not beating them out of the
price of a ticket because I would not have been able to pay for one
anyway. I live and sleep in my van when I’m on the road. Usually eat
at Wendy’s and get a senior coke. Their junior hamburgers are great
and cheap.
Also live
on the kindness of the teams that offer me a bottle of water or
hotdog when I need it. I am very appreciative of the help I receive.
It lets me show you lots of great race tracks and nice people. All I
ask is to be able to photograph the teams and tracks and record them
here at LuvRacin.com as I have done for the last two years.
Every
time a photo of mine appears on a computer screen I get a “hit”.
Thanks to you folks I now have well over 8 million hits and I am
only a small part of this tremendous web site. LuvRacin is growing
fast and all ready has more than 25 million accesses per year.
The
photos are for your enjoyment and you are welcome to copy them. If
you want you can buy a quality print at a reasonable price from the
photo page on SmugMug (where I store my photos for $125 per year).
So come
with me this year and we should be able to take you to about 100
races and meet lots of interesting people. If we’re at your track
this year please stop me, we’ll talk and take a photo or two. E-mail
