Well racefans its been a cold and chilly
winter but soon Spring will be here and that means
many Indiana Speedways will be roaring to life once
aagin for the 2009 Racing Season! Anderson Speedway
held there New Years Day Bash with almost 60 cars
doing battle that afternoon. Anderson Speedway has
Dropped there Friday Night Racing Program and
combined it with there Saturday Night program. The
SuperTruck Division has been dropped which means the
menu for each Saturday Night regular show consists
of Street Stocks,Thundercars,Figure 8 cars,and FWD
Oval Division. There is an Outlaw Figure 8 scheduled
for Friday July 3rd,The CRA Late model 125 is
Saturday April 11th,this is the only appearance for
CRA Late Models at Anderson Speedway in 2009.
The CRA Sportsman have 3 dates at
Anderson on April 18th,August 8th,and September
12th.A Thundercar Enduro 200 is on March 28th. I
really miss seeing the CRA Late Models at
Anderson.I would like to see them start a Late
Model Sportsman division with similar rules allowing
Mt. Lawn Speedway Late Models to compete as well. on
June 27th will be a 300 Lap Street Stock Race at
Anderson. I would like to see Anderson and Mt. Lawn
run identical rules in all classes and share
cars.I think I am living in a dream world?
Vermillion County Speedway in
Danville,IL will be Running both Friday and
Saturday Nights adding Sprints and Crate Late Models
tho there Saturday Night Schedule.VCS is a Late
Model track and has a big LM following in that
area. I wish the new promoters best of luck in 2009.
The CRA Super Series Late Model Banquet
is Saturday January 10th in which i will be going
and taking photographs. The Indy Circle 9 Trade Show
and Auction is Saturday January 31st.I hope to have
news and Pics from these and the HARF Racing Banquet
is Sunday june 28th. Gotta GO See You At THe
Races!!
