Well racefans all racing was cancelled at both Anderson
(IN) Speedway and Mt. Lawn (IN) Speedways this past
weekend.Heavy rains and tornado warnings flew in the area with
high speed ruining all racing action. This Saturday June 6th
will be the CRA Street Stock 75 lapper at Anderson along with
Thundercars,FWD Oval Division,and the wild and woolly Figure 8s.
Mt.Lawn (IN) Speedway has Spring Fan Appreciation nite
with $5..00 Admission with a regular show of Late
Models,Thundercars,Hornets and INDY Faskarts. I read where
Harold Scott and Don Skaggs have been racing at Kilkare and
Shady Bowl (OH) Speedways in the Modified Division. I really
miss the open wheel modifieds at Anderson and Mt. Lawn and its a
shame these guys have to travel so far to race an asphalt
modified. There only other option would be to run Baer Field
Speedway weekly or run Angola Speedway when they run a modified
show. There used to be a ton of modifieds in this area I wonder
sometimes where they all went to?
I am gonna try to make my 1st trip ever to Kilkare (OH)
Speedway this Friday for the Main Event Series Late Models. I
hope the weather will be kind to all of us this coming weekend!
I wish there was a way we could boost car counts at some of our
tracks because more cars usually provides better racing.I took
some photos at Anderson Speedway Saturday but my camera is
acting up and will not transfer files onto my computer so now
they just sit on my memory card! I may have to buy a new camera
or buy whats called a card reader?
I went to Union County (IN) Speedway for the 1st time
this season Friday Night as Derek Fisher won the Late Model
Feature.They have a real strong field of Modifieds at this 3/8
mile dirt track. I am trying to get results from that track on
the internet and in the MAARN News each week. I feel all tracks
and drivers deserev equal and fair coverage and publicity. Email
