Hello Racefans sorry I did not make it to Lawrenceburg
(IN) Speedway last Friday Night as I thought it might rain out
with all the rain in the Indianapolis area. Brian Birkhofer won
the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series race in
Lawrenceburg,Indiana. Congrats to Tim on his win!
Union County (IN) Speedway and Gas City (IN) Speedway
did not have regular shows Friday Night August 28th. Union
County Speedway has a regular show plus powderpuff races this
Friday Night Sept. 4th along with mechanics races. The awards
ceremony begins immediately following the races. It appears this
is the final race of the season at Union County Speedway. For

Brandon Maynard won the Late Model Feature Saturday
Night at New Paris (IN) Speedway followed by Kenny Whitman and
Josh Summers.Travis Slaybaugh won the Street Stock Feature and
Jim Anglemeyerwon the Mini Stock Feature. Coming Saturday Sept
5th is the Season Championships at New Paris Speedway featuring
late models,Street stocks,pure stocks,mini stocks,spectator oval

My Midwest Racing Fan Of The Week is Ryan,David and
Justin Upchurch from New Castle,Indiana. Ryan is 26 years old
and Justin is 6 years old. David is the father of both Ryan and
Justin. Ryan and Justin both race in WKA Gocarts with young
JUsin racing in three different Champ Car gocart classes. Justin
being only six years old won his debut WKA Go Cart Association
race at New Castle Motorsports Park in New Castle,Indiana.
Justin remains yet undefeated in gocart competition and will
travel to Pennsylvania and New York State to compete with the
World Kart Association. Ryan Upchurch age 26 raced in Sr. Champ
Karts for four years winning 8 Kart Championships including a
National Title win in New York. Ryan finished second in the
national series for gocarts!Justin Upchurch's favorite drivers
are Terry Cater and Tony Stewart. Justin's favorite track is
Winchester (IN) Speedway.Justin has traveled as far as
Atlanta,GA to see a Nascar racing event.Justin and Ryan attend
the races every week at Mt. Lawn (IN) Speedway. There favorite
divisions are late models,figure 8s,and midgets. I had Rick
Sweigart th e owner of Mt. Lawn Speedway annouc over the P.A.
system "the 1st fan to the tower will be featured as Midwest
Racing Fan Of The Week"and 1 minute later Ryan and Justin were
knocking on the door. I felt this was a great thing to do at Mt.
Lawn on Fan Appreciation Nite!
Eric Evans won the late model feature Saturday Night at.
Mt. Lawn (IN) Speedway.Chase Lane won his 1st ever FWD Hornet
Feature and Ryan Amonett won another Thundercar feature keeping
him as the points leader in the thundercar division. Coming
Saturday Sept 5th is Season Championships at Mt. Lawn with 50
lap features for Late Models,Thundercars and Hornets. For more

Coming Saturday Sept. 5th will be the IOFS International
Outlaw Figure 8 Series returning to Anderson (IN) Speedway along
wth the debut of the IOFS Front Wheel Drive Division as part of
the Anderson Speedway Night Of Thrills also featuring School Bus

Saturday Night was an awesome night of racing at Mt.
Lawn as it was Fan Appreciation Nite with a good crowd on hand
as a nickle scramble,big wheel races,and an autograph/picture
session was held on the track for both drivers and fans to get
aquainted with one another! Mt Lawn (IN) Speedway is having a
Thundercar and FWD Hornet Enduro on Sunday September 13th paying

Winchester (IN) Speedway has The World Stock Festival
this coming Labor Day Weekend with racing all weekend long with
6 big features on Monday Afternoon with the CRA Super Series
