On New Year’s Day venture toward the balmy shores of Lake Erie and make a visit to Sandusky Speedway. The 34th Hangover Race will be contested at the track. Cold weather will not stop this race. Snow and/or rain will not stop this race. This race has never been cancelled due to weather and never will be cancelled. This may be the only race that not only allows snow balls to be thrown at the cars during yellow flag laps but encourages the activity.

Once again there will be 3 classes of cars competing. The Champange stocks are an open division for any car with load bolts. There is no tire rule. The Champange Stocks will be running a 20 lap feature.

The Moonshine Stocks must have a stock front clip and a cast iron block and heads. Other details, including the tire rule, can be found on the track’s web site.  These cars will also have a 20 lap feature.

The Whiskey Stocks are any American made front wheel drive car. Manual transmissions are allowed in the four cylinder cars. All four tires must be the same size. There is a 15 lap feature scheduled for this class.

Hot laps are at 11:00 AM with the green flag for racing dropping at 1:00 PM.  Admission to the first race of 2014 is only $10.
