SATURDAY NIGHT IN ROSSBURG, OHIO

The old time, traditional, dyed in the Castor Oil race fan loves to lament the demise of the “Good  Ol’ Days”.  They tell stories lacked with the words: Knobby, Rooster Tail and. of course, the sound of the Offy. Well, there is good news. Tomorrow’s “Good Ol’ Days” commence this Saturday night at Eldora Speedway.

Saturday night is the USAC portion of 32nd annual FOUR CROWN NATIONALS at Eldora Speedway.  The FOUR CROWN NATIONALS are the third longest running annual event at Eldora. During that time there have been 120 feature races that have been won by only 57 different drivers. Jack Hewitt leads the list of winners with 19 victories.

The USAC Midgets will compete in a 25 Lap $5000 to win Main Event. The USAC Sprint Cars will compete in a 30 Lap main event paying $5000 to win.

In addition, The USAC Silver Crown cars will compete in an $8000, 50 lap main event. It pays $1000 just to start the Silver Crown Main Event. This is the final race of the 2013 season for these cars. So far this year there have been 7 different winners in 7 events. The 2013 USAC Silver Crown Champion will be crowned on Saturday night. There are five (5) drivers with a chance to claim the title: Bobby East, Jerry Coons Jr., Tracy Hines. Chris Windom & Kody Swanson.

Total purse for the evening is in excess of $78,000.

Dirt in your beer and methanol fumes in your eyes. Life just doesn’t get any better!
