“27th Annual Jackson 100” at Brownstown August 18th & 19th - Top Dirt Late Model Racers
Promoter Tim Keithley and his wife Farrah have everything ready for the 27th version of this big annual event. Sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Dirt Series Touring Division, this event always attracts top Late Model racing teams. A total purse in excess of $100,000 helps.
Friday night’s racing, billed as “The Night Before the Jackson 100” should not be overlooked as the Late Model winner is awarded $2,000 and a spot in the Saturday night feature. In addition to Late Models, Indiana Super Stocks will compete for $1,000 to win and double points. Friday’s sponsor is Seymour Tire & Service/Goodyear.
Sponsored by Bob Poynter Ford, the Saturday Late Model feature pays $1,000 to start and $15,000 to win. UMP Modifieds will compete for $125 to start and $1,200 to win.
You can expect to see some of the best Late Model drivers including John Gill who has won five Brownstown features this year. John races for “Tader” and Jerilyn Masters of MasterSbilt. “Kid Rocket” Josh Richards of West Virginia is expected. Several Lucas Oil Dirt Series competitors are expected. Speedvision will record the race for future presentation.
Track Promoter Tim Keithley indicates that tickets are still available. Gates open at 2:00 p.m. Friday and 12:00 noon Saturday. Hot Laps begin at 6 p.m. each day. More details are available at http://www.brownstownspeedway.com.
