Jackie Boggs was in his winning ways once again as he dominates his dads memorial race

A race that was usually ran at Randy Boggs' Willard Speedway. The "Black Jack & Farley Boggs Memorial" was moved to the Southern Ohio Speedway this year. With $3,000 up for grabs. Mother Nature was starting to show her bad side, thankfully the track advertised an early start time. With that early start time they were able to outrun Mother Nature, at least long enough to get the late model feature in the books. With a slight rain delay just after the heat races the track was good and tacky by the time they got it ran in and the feature cars on the track.

Jackie Boggs started on the front row and never looked back to go on and win his dad's memorial race for the 5th time. The race had previously been ran at the Willard Speedway where Jackie picked up 4 of those Memorial race victories.

Josh McGuire who finished 2nd to Boggs in last year's running of the race started in the 2nd row and after halfway had worked his way passed 2nd place runner Rod Conley and began to reel Boggs in. A late race caution slowed the race and looked to make for a shootout to the checkered flag but that was prevailed when Jackie took off and left everybody sitting and went on to win the 5th annual Black Jack & Farley Boggs Memorial. Josh McGuire crossed the line in second with Rod Conley, Steven Breeding and Shannon Thornsberry rounding out the top five. Only the top five cars were still on the lead lap as Boggs was a man on a mission and was making sure he won his dads race.

The Southern Ohio Speedway has one more race scheduled and then they will be done for the season.
