Boggs prevails after Bloomquist has troubles

It looked like Scott Bloomquist was going to easily walk away with another feature win at the Portsmouth Raceway Park. That was up until there was a caution with close to ten laps to go. That caution changed everything, with Bloomquist having problems and not getting up to speed as fast as he had earlier in the night both Steve Francis and Jackie Boggs were there to take advantage of the situation. With Bloomquist's left front glued to the bottom of the track and Francis and Boggs both hot on his heels, Francis was trying to tuck under Bloomquist so Boggs decided to try the top and made it work and pulled away. Francis finally got around Bloomquist but it took him an extra two or three laps which gave Boggs just enough breathing room to roll on to win the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned event and take home the $10,000 top prize in front of a roaring home track crowd. I have never heard a crowd get so loud. Right when Boggs went by Bloomquist you could literally hear the crowd over top of all the racecars.
