Chris Long drives the #17L Open Wheel Modified Class car.  His home track is Moulton Speedway but he can also be found racing at North Alabama Speedway, River Valley Speedway and Columbus Speedway.  He lives in Hartselle, AL.

Team members helping Chris are:  Gary Long, Wade Skinner, Craig Skinner, Jason Skinner, Alan Guyse, Jim Clemons, Rodney Culp, Tina Long, Emily Long.  Gary Long and Chris Long are the car owners.

Chris started racing in 2002 in the Mini Stock Class at Moulton Speedway because he has been at a Dirt Track as long as he can remember.  His Dad, Gary Long, raced at dirt tracks all over Alabama and Tennessee.  His whole family loves it.  It's in his blood.  He moved to Open Wheel Modified in '07.  His first win was in 2005 in the Mini Stock Class at Moulton Speedway.  Career highlights include his first win and finishing 2nd to his teammate in Points in '05 at Moulton Speedway, coming from the rear in a 25 lap race in Mini Stock at Moulton Speedway to win, winning twice at North Alabama Speedway in '06 in Mini Stock.

The thrill of racing for Chris is racing against other people that are trying just as hard as he is and still remaining friends off the track.  Also, seeing the fans and his friends getting excited when Chris does well.  And, of course, being able to do it all over again the next weekend.  His most exciting racing moment was the first time he led a race and the first time he won at North Alabama Speedway.  He's most proud of being successful so far and having many people help him along the way.

Chris's racing heroes are too many to mention.  He respects his Dad because he has raced Go Karts and many different race cars at many different places and was successful.
