John started racing in 1973 in the Street
Stock Class at Midwest Speedway because he liked it. His first win
was in '74 in the Street Stock Class at Midwest Speedway. Career
highlights include the following Track Championships: 1 Midwest Speedway,
7 times Eagle Raceway in Sprint, 1 I-80 Speedway in Sprint Class, 2 Rocky
Mountain in Sprint, 1 Sunset Speedway in Late Model ('83).
The thrill of racing for John is the speed
and power of the engine - controlling the "beast"! His most exciting
racing moment was winning the Jackson Nationals in Minnesota in'88.
He's most proud of his numerous Track Championships.
John's racing hero is Steve Kinser (The
King).
Of racing, John says, "It's an expensive
hobby!".
