Danno Baker
#29
Danno Baker drives the #29 Super Stock
Class car. His home track is I-76 Speedway but he can also be
found racing at Goodland Speedway, Lexington Speedway and Prowers County
Motorsports. He lives in Loveland, CO.
Team members helping Danno are:
Sue, Chet. TrackSide Collectibles is the car owner.
Danno started racing in 1971 in the
Street Stock Class at Colorado National Speedway (dirt) because he liked
to street race and the track was across the street from his house so it
was inevitable. Career highlights include first Trophy Dash win
against the Track Champ at I-76 Speedway, 2nd Trophy Dash win against
Angie Hayes, Jeremy Frenier and Tony Shaver and meeting new friends at
the track he goes to.
The thrill of racing for Danno is the
challenge of going fast and bringing home the car in one piece.
His most exciting racing moment was going airborne at I-76 Speedway in
his first full year at the track...and NO, he does not want to do it
again. He's most proud of being able to rebuild his car and
staying a clean driver.
Danno's racing hero is Richard Petty.
Of racing, Danno says, "Go fast, slide
left and stay safe! I do not like the wall!".
