Donnie began racing in 1995 in a v/8 bomber at Auburndale. He had been racing Mud Drags and wanted to try something new. He got his first win his rookie year at Auburndale Speedway.  In 1998 he won the Championship at Auburndale 

Speed and rubbing is the thrill of racing for Donnie.  He is most proud of winning the Championship for Crew Chief Willie Fitzgerald.

Dale Earnhardt is his racing hero.
