Dave Dunkin drives the #71 Sportsman Class car.  His home track is Auburndale Speedway but he can also be found racing at many other tracks.  He lives in Lakeland, FL.

Team members helping Dave are:  Joey Rugusa - Crew Chief, Kevin Bartel - Tires, Fuel and Chassis, Sandy Scruggs - Team Manager.  Thomas Scruggs is the car owner.

Dave started racing in 1964 in the Modified Class at Gainesville Raceway because he had watched as a kid and wanted to race....then it got into his blood!  His first win was in 1974 in the Limited Sportsman at Ocala Speedway.  His career is full of highlights!

The most exciting racing moment for Dave is the competition.  He's most proud of 1983 Track Championship at Sunshine Speedway and Golden Gate Speedway.

Dave's racing hero is Fireball Roberts.

Of racing, Dave says, "Race clean and pass on the outside!".
