Derrick Horton drives the #27 Road Warriors Class car.  His home track is Charlotte County Speedway .  He lives in North Fort Myers, FL with girlfriend Sue and 3 children. 

Derrick started racing in 1984 in the Go-Kart Class at Poughkeepsie, NY because of his cousin Jimmy Horton and racing has been Derrick's dream. 

The thrill of racing for Derrick is the adrenaline of being on the edge of out of control but yet still in control.  His most exciting racing moment is just starting each week is a dream come true.  He's most proud of building his own car and also maintaining it himself.

Derrick's racing hero is his cousin, Jimmy Horton.

Of racing, Derrick says, "There is no sport like it...totally fan friendly and a great family atmosphere!".
