Cliff Mitchell

Cliff Mitchell drives the #17 Thunder Stock Class car.  He lives in St.Petersburg, FLA.  His home track is Citrus County Speedway but he can also be found racing at Sunshine Speedway.

He started racing in 1981 in the Go-Karts Class at Accord Speedway in N.Y. because he had always wanted a race car and to race.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include:  1989 International Karting Federation National Champion 1984 - 1990 Points Champion Accord Speedway 1996 and 1997 Woodleaf Speedway Points Champion.

The thrill of racing for Cliff is going fast.  His most exciting racing moment was finishing 3rd at a race in Syracuse NY at Super Dirt Week.  He's most proud of his International Championship.

Tony Stewart is Cliff's racing hero.

Of racing, Cliff says, "If you can't race it or take it to bed, it ain't worth having!".
