 Al Mormonde

Al Mormonde drives the Lucky #7 Modified Class car.  He lives in Houma, LA.  His home track is Lakeland Speedway.

He started racing in 1994 in the Street Stock Class at Westbank Speedway because when he was a kid his grandma took him to Daytona 500 in 1965.  His first win was in 1994 in Mississippi.  Al won 3 Track Championships in 1995-96-97 in the Street Stock Class.  In 1998 he had a bad accident.  In 1999 he bought a Dirt Late Model and won the Track Championship in 1999 and 2000.

The thrill of racing for Al is pursuing his goal of having a car to race at Daytona!  He's most proud of winning 5 Track Championships and going to different tracks and winning.

Richard Petty is Al's racing hero.

Of racing, Al says, "Very exciting, ultimate euphoria!".
