Wendy Mathis drives the #80 Winged Spring Class Car.  She lives in Zephyrhills, FL.  Her home track is Citrus County Speedway but she can also be found racing at New Smyrna Speedway.

She started racing in 1991 in the Quarter Midget Class at Orlando Speed World Speedway because her Dad raced NASCAR Modifieds.  Her first win was in that same year.  She switched to Sprint Cars and had her first win in 2002 at Charlotte County Speedway.  She was the Quarter Midget State Champion in 1994, has had over 75 Feature wins in Quarter Midgets between 1991-1994.  She race TQ Midgets from 1994-2001, had 3 Feature wins and 5 Heat Race wins.  Her first Sprint car Heat Race win was in October of 2002 at Charlotte County Speedway.

The thrill of racing for Wendy is watching the car work on the track and watching the engines that we have built at home win races.  She loves the fact that it is a family event and that they work as a team.  There is not one event that she is most proud of ........she is most proud of the company that has helped her week in and week out.....Dave, Gerry, Jeff and of course Mom and Dad.
