Evan started racing at the age of 6 in the Go-Kart Class at Douglas Motorsports Park because his dad raced late models. He started racing in the Late Model Class in 2007 at Lake City Speedway and Douglas Motorsports Park. His first win was in 1998 in the Beginner Go-Karts at Jasper Motorsports Complex. Career highlights include 2007 2nd place in points at Douglas Motorsports Park, 6th in points at Lake City Speedway, Rookie of the year, and Fan Favorite at Lake City Speedway.

The thrill of racing for Evan is going fast and winning. His most exciting moment was qualifying in the pole position at Daytona out of 80 Go-Karts and winning the race. He is most proud of winning multiple championships in Go-Karts.
