Shain started racing in 1985 in the Go
Cart Class at New York because of family influence with his Dad racing
NASCAR Modifieds. His first win was in 1994 in the Modifieds Class
at Orlando Speedworld. Career highlights include 1998 Most
Improved Driver Award, 2000 finished 2nd in the Points, 2001 Track
Championship at Orlando Speedworld in Modifieds, 50 plus wins in
Modifieds.
The thrill of racing for Shain is the
competition and the speed. His most exciting racing moment was
leading the race with 3 laps to go and left rear went flat, but he still
won the race. Also his 2001 Points Championship. He's most
proud of coming back and winning the first time after near death
accident at work.
