Matt Sheppard drives the #28s Modified +358 Class car.  He lives in Waterloo, NY.  His home track is Canandaigua Speedway but he can also be found racing at Utica-Rome Speedway.

He started racing in 1990 in the Go-Karts, 1999 in the Sportsman, 2001 Modified 358 and 2003 Big Block all because his Dad raced.  His first win was in 1990 in the Go-Karts Class.  Matt was Mr. Dirt Sportsman in 2001, won a dozen plus Track Championships in 10 tracks and he won 22 races in 2000.

The thrill of racing for Matt is the competition.  He's most proud of being able to work on the cars himself and all that he has accomplished.

Of racing, Matt says, "It's a lot more complicated that it looks!".
